A Fairer Property Market

The property market is broken for savers.

There is a big gap between those who own property, and those who do not.

At Bricklane.com, we’re on a mission to fix this.

We’re making property ownership possible for a new generation of savers — creating a fairer, more flexible market along the way.

For savers, that means access to the financial benefits of home ownership, no matter what their level of savings. The ability to take the first step on the ladder to owning a home; or the freedom to choose not to buy a home, without financial penalty.

For tenants, it means fairer leases, with terms updated for a modern lifestyle: from the small things — like being allowed to put things on the wall or keep a pet; to the bigger issues — like longer, stable lets and an end to outlandish contract renewal fees.

Team

Bricklane.com was started by a team of renters in 2014 with the aim of making the property market fairer for everyone. Our people have diverse backgrounds in finance, technology, design and consultancy with organisations such as PwC, BBC, Oliver Wyman, Innocent, and the British Council.

We’ve built products that reach millions of people, advised large companies on their most complex challenges, and raised finance from some of the world’s best investors. The team all use Bricklane.com themselves, meaning our interests are aligned with those of our customers. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure customers have a safe, secure home for their savings.

Building better cities

By 2050, almost 7 billion people will be living in cities*. At their best, cities mix inspirational, accommodating architecture and culture with rich history, and unbounded opportunity.

However, as urban centres have grown in the past, the benefits overwhelmingly flow to existing landowners, who exert huge influence over renters’ quality of life.

Bricklane.com aims to make sure that, in the future, ownership of our cities is spread across as wide a range of people as possible, and that financial position is not a barrier to participation.
